Greenways Tree Maintenance Update

Tree removals are underway on some of our circles and greenways. Towards the end of May, ECO Tree Company will be completing tree removal for 6 dying trees in our circles and greenways. 

Springwood Circle: Greenway Path entrance, stump grinding (Ash tree removed over the Winter)
Southwick Circle: Circle, stump grinding (Pin Oak removed over the Winter)
Greenway between Farmington Ct + Colony Circle: stump grinding (Ash tree removed over the Winter)
Oxwood Circle: Circle, Austrian Pine upcoming removal and stump grinding. Replacement planting to be considered later this year.
Whitacre Circle: Austrian Pine and 1 Ash tree upcoming removal and stump grinding. 1 Ash Tree receiving treatment. Replacement planting to be considered later this year.

In other greenways news, please do your part to remove garlic mustard from the greenways. Please contact Hayden McCann at haydenmccann@yahoo.com for lessons on how to identify garlic mustard and tips for removal.

Reminder! The greenways are larger than you may think. Please do not place any structures (gardens, play structures), yard waste or brush in the greenways without approval from the greenways committee.
