Tamarack Trails has graciously invited Walnut Grove to attend a District 9 Alder Candidate Forum Wednesday, February 3rd at 5pm via Zoom.
All four candidates will be participating and questions will focus on issues that pertain specially to our area neighborhoods. If you have any specific concerns you’d like addressed, please contact walnutgrovemadison@gmail.com and we will pass them along to the meeting hosts.
Running in this race are Doug Hyant, Nikki Conklin, Anthony “Nino” Amato, and incumbent Paul Skidmore. The primary election is Tuesday, February 16th. You can vote on election day, by absentee ballot, or by in-person absentee voting in advance of election day (see more info here: https://www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/new/vote-madison-public-library). If voting absentee, be sure and return your ballot as early as possible to get to the Clerk’s office on time. As Monday, February 15th is President’s Day, there will be no USPS service.
The two leading vote getters in the primary will be on the ballot for the general election on April 6th.
All candidates will be present at this Forum and will be asked a series of questions that members of our community have submitted. This will be a chance for you to hear from the candidates about issues that affect us in District 9 particularly. To maximize the amount of time that we can hear from the candidates, only the moderator, TT resident Dean Ryerson, and the four candidates will be speaking at this event. All other attendees will be muted.
